Hello, World!
This isn't actually my first blog page, but I decided I didn't like the old site I used and I also wanted a bit of a fresh start since it's been many months since I've uploaded on there. Though, the first few posts on this account are going to be pieces recycled from that old page that I still like for some reason; I'll put the original publication date at the top of the page to make their antiquity clear.
But that's all a side-note. Perhaps I should discuss the blog more and where I'm at myself as of its conception. I've been wanting to get some of my thoughts out there but I didn't feel that Twitter or other platforms were the way to do it, especially considering how irony poisoned and toxic such places are. Though I'm not much better personally, Twitter's gotten to me too, and it's hard for me to be serious on there, which is another reason for this. It's already hard enough to express yourself in a way for others to see, it's just too much with that obstacle. I really dislike being that way- I want to express myself, (at least attempt to) convey the extent of my thoughts and passions, and self-actualize in a more tangible way.
I'm also preparing for when I'll inevitably need to distance myself from more time-sink platforms. I'm presently in my senior year at university so I'm getting ready to depart to either the real world (a full-time job) or a masters program; in either case I would like to purge myself of all distractions and minimize my online presence in most ways. I actually fantasize about deleting every social media app and becoming a hermit somewhat often; the desolate mountain cave beckons me with its siren song. Something like this should be okay though, I think. As long as my output is meaningful and I don't mindlessly consume, then it has value. At the very least I'll be able to polish up on my writing abilities.
I think that's about it for where I'm at though. I guess one more thing is I'm also considering making this page a little interactive and will take blog post requests, so if anyone has a question for me about something I like (or dislike), like a character or story, then feel free to ask me from wherever you may know me, be it discord, twitter, or some medialogger site.
